Woodhead Group, the development, construction and property management business, has been appointed onto Scape, a responsible procurement route designed to ensure that privately funded projects deliver positive community impact and value for money.
The Nottinghamshire-based family-owned business was awarded a place on the framework to deliver projects up to the value of £7.5 million for North England and Central England and will start delivering projects from June 2019.
This is the second time Woodhead Group has secured a place on the framework thanks to its social consciousness, proven track record and collaborative approach to projects.
Scape provides a responsible procurement experience that delivers speed, value for money, inclusive social value and performance management.
Glenn Slater, Chief Visionary Officer for Woodhead Group said: “We are excited to continue our partnership with Scape which supports early engagement and collaboration between clients and contractors. Working as a trusted partner for Scape allows us to deliver projects which are real value for money, within smaller time frames whilst having a positive impact on local people and the environment.
“Woodhead Group has delivered thousands of projects through framework organisations thanks to our commitment to delivering social value on every project we deliver. The Space Centre in Leicester is just one example of a multi-award-winning Scape project which enhanced facilities whilst engaging and inspiring young people.
“We’re proud to have been awarded this scope of work by Scape and look forward to supporting more organisations in North and Central England.”
Mark Robinson, Scape Chief Executive, said “We are tremendously proud of the number of successful, and high-profile projects that Scape has facilitated in recent years, by bringing together the very best of public and private procurement expertise.
The delivery partners we have selected will all be supported by strong local supply chains which will ensure projects are delivered on-time and on-budget, while embedding significant socioeconomic value by keeping local communities engaged throughout.”
Woodhead Group also delivered the highly acclaimed Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre through the Scape framework.
