Even with the challenges of 2020, we have continued our investment in training and development. We have provided our people access to over 16,000 tailored courses and training modules from Diversity and Inclusion, Climate Action, Construction Management and Productivity and more. By investing in skills and training we know our workforce is ready for the future.
As we embrace new digital technology, this investment in training is even more important to break down adoption barriers. Our enhanced banding structure rewards our people for going the extra mile, and we support our people through a wide range of personal development, including:
- NVQ up to Level 7
- Degrees and HNCs
- Prince 2/PMP
We have trained 13 Mental Health First Aiders to support our people, supply chain and clients.
Almost two thirds of employers prefer people with solid work experience when hiring. That’s why over the last two years we have given 31 work experience opportunities to local people.
We are also developing tailored packages to support the most hard to reach groups with special educational needs to access work experience, working with our partners at the DEBP.
Our in-house apprenticeship programme, which launched in 2017, has developed exceptional talent and they’re still with us today after graduating university!
