Two years into a 5 year partnership with Newark and Sherwood District Council, we have delivered 120 news homes, with 17 live sites started in year three and more in the pipeline.
Year 1: 70 homes completed (14 flats, 23 bungalows and 33 houses)
Year 2: 50 homes completed (25 flats, 12 bungalows and 13 houses)
Year 3: 17 homes (Currently on site) and 8 sites in mobilisation, totaling 45 homes
On the 30th June 2020 the final year 2 scheme was sparkle cleaned for a handover at Lindsey Avenue on behalf of Newark and Sherwood District Council. The scheme consisted of 8 flats and 2, 2 bedroom homes constructed on former redundant garage sites. Mark Wilkinson, Grounds Work Manager and his team overcame and carried out a challenging groundworks package efficiently and effectively, showing quality teamwork throughout.
It is possible to make developments like this happen by creating long term partnerships with a programme of work. Clustering, clever site management and efficiencies brought by EEM Ltd have made it possible to transform problematic pieces of land, into valuable revenue streams.
As we roll on into year three of the partnership, two of the three clusters for the year are now on site with the first schemes due for handovers in autumn 2020. Following a challenging start to year three sites, major efforts are taking place by all delivery teams currently on site at 8 separate locations through the Newark and Sherwood area.
Pre-construction stage planning is ongoing for more sites, the team would like to thank Katie Stammers for her hard work, allowing our delivery teams to hit the ground running from day one. Katie is currently progressing a further 8 schemes at pre-construction stage totalling in 45 homes.
Keep an eye out for further updates going into year 3 of the partnership.
