Cross Street receives Considerate Constructors score of 37!

A Considerate Constructors score of 37 out of 40 has been achieved at Robert Woodhead Ltd’s Cross Street site.

A Considerate Constructors score of 37 out of 40 has been achieved at Robert Woodhead Ltd’s Cross Street site. This means that the development is in the top 7.5% of sites nationally.

Robert Chadwick, Site Manager at Cross Street highlights, “To achieve such a good score I have been totally committed to performing at a high level beyond compliance all the time. I have been keen to make sure that all interested parties have got involved and bought into the project including the local neighbours.”

Robert continues, “It is important to me as a site manager to achieve national recognition from the CCS for the good work our company does to improve the image of construction, as well as showing clients and the community that we are a contractor that cares, goes the extra mile and is great to work with.”

The Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) set up by the construction industry, monitors sites and companies that register with the Scheme against a Code of Considerate Practice designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.

The monitor for Cross Street, Kelvin Wigham JP BSc CEng, confirmed in his written report just how well Robert Woodhead is performing. “The excellent start made on this project has been developed into an exceptional performance with commendable neighbour relations established. A very professional image is being presented on site and amplified by the professionally produced video diary filmed and updated on site in collaboration with the client. The project is a clear demonstration of the benefit of client/contractor partnerships.”
